| She was inspired to enter the service by her uncles who served in WW II. Especially by her fathers brother, a paratrooper, who was a POW in WWII, served in Korea and was killed in Vietnam. | |||||||||||||||||||
| Brenda was the only female and officer in her family to join and retire from the military. | |||||||||||||||||||

This picture of me was taken when I was stationed in West Berlin, West Germany. (I was a captain then) That was before the wall came down. I am standing next to an East German guard in front of the East German War Memorial. Living 110 miles behind the Iron Curtain, I experienced the "Cold War" first hand. |
